Sound of the Beginning, Color of the End

Trio no. 3

I borrow the lines “Sound of the Beginning, Color of the End” from the poet Bei Dao. This resonates for me as the trajectory of one of my paintings: from a sonic inspiration toward a visual end. The drawings in my Sound Drawings section illustrate sound, as part of my exploration into a broader form of sensory experience.
