Light Passing
While my affection for landscapes of the natural world endures, in its simplest moments, the relationship between two lines is enough. The vibration of these lines against each other defines a much smaller space. It’s the landscape of a sentiment, or a song. This theme started with the Stripes of Pont-Aven , but the rigidity of line and stark color, when I was referencing sound, has softened. Now the work is more a reference to sunny days spent sleeping in. The lines embrace each other, aware of the dark room and the thickening day.
