The Weather Series
With The Western Plain, I found my interest in pure space represented by the low horizon and the big sky so prevalent in West Texas. But while in France at a residency in June 2010, the land dropped away and all I wanted to see were clouds. The paintings made were quiet watercolors of endless sky. Those skies have evolved and become a translation of fabric, collage, weather, and music.
