Acrylic, ink, oil pastel & cold encaustic on top of 1963 stage set from Jean Genet’s “The Balcony”, painted on masonite board. The artist developed cobalt poisoning from aerosol spraying cobalt onto background. I painted over it to process my birth experience, at home alone during the pandemic.
This piece was exhibited at Prizer Arts & Letters as part of the solo exhibition, “The Garden, The Body.” There is was shown on two adjacent walls.
